The NP series of needle point type ionizers produce an equal amount of positive and negative ions. The units can be installed in metal duct utilizing pre-drilled flanges and factory applied gaskets. The contractor makes a duct cut out and secures the unit with self tapping sheet metal screws. The ionization output protrudes 1.5 inches into the duct to clear any duct liner.
The units can also be installed inside an HVAC unit utilizing a contractor supplied mounting bracket. The ionization needles are recessed to avoid electric shock, dust buildup and premature failure. The ionization unit can directly accept power from either 24V AC fan control circuit or a 12V DC pin from a power supply.
